Hi you! Are you an artist? I love to be creative in painting, drawing, crafting or building. And today it’s exactly about that. To be more specific, art on Porsche cars. Be sure to read on to learn more about these extraordinary works of art.

Porsche Art Cars means ‘artistic Porsche cars’. Various artists have redesigned some models, added artistic elements and created their own Porsche Art Car out of a classic Porsche. Today I present you my favorite models. They really look super special!

One of the first Porsche Art Cars is Janis Joplin’s 356 SC. This Porsche 356 was designed for the singer by artist Dave Richards. The history of the universe is immortalized on the vehicle, in all the possible colors of the Earth’s galaxies and landscapes.

A particularly impressive Porsche Art Car is the ‘996 Swan’ by Chris Labrooy. He is a digital artist. He works out his ideas on a tablet, for example. He has now turned the swan into reality. It stands for ’20 years of Porsche in China’. A total eye-catcher, isn’t it?

Can you imagine designing a Porsche artistically? I think it’s great that more and more creative people are creating works of art with Porsche sports cars. Here you can find many Porsche painting templates to download for your first, crazy, cool Porsche Art Car.

Yours, Tina

Janis Japlin’s 356 SC was stolen by fans. It was auctioned off at the end for 1.76 million dollars. And the money was donated to charity.

Hello Porsche fan, great to have you back! The Porsche brand celebrates its 75th birthday this year. It all began with the dream of building a sports car. This resulted in the first Porsche, the 356 “No. 1” Roadster, registered in 1948, 75 years ago. A lot has happened since then …

In the past, Gilberte Thirion is one of the best racing drivers in history. She was very successful in the 1950s with the Porsche 356 SL and won many different races. She lives her dream in motorsport and pursues her goals. She dreams of achieving overall victory.

Timo Bernhard drives for Porsche today and has won races in all categories with Porsche sports cars. For him, driving for Porsche is something special. That’s why he also passes on his experience. As a brand ambassador, he works with young talents and promotes them.

One of these young talents at Porsche is Laurin Heinrich. In 2022, he competes as a Porsche Junior in the Porsche Carrera Cup, for example. One of his great role models is, of course, Timo Bernhard. He wants to celebrate many more successes in the future. I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for him!

You see, there are always dreamers at Porsche who celebrate great successes. They are all driven by their dreams. Next week, Tina will introduce you to exciting dreams of athletes from the past, present and future. Be excited!

Yours, Tom

Hello racing driver! Today we are going to the race track. Tom and I have already told you about various race tracks and racing series. This time, we’ll take a closer look at two in particular: the Porsche Sports Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup. Have you ever heard of them?

The Porsche Sports Cup has been around for almost 20 years. It’s not racing drivers, but people like you and me who drive their own Porsche sports cars. Instead of driving on the streets, they go to race tracks such as the Nürburgring or Hockenheimring. So that everyone can take part, there are races for beginners and professionals.

With 30 years, the Porsche Carrera Cup is the oldest brand trophy in the world. This means that everyone drives the same car in this racing series. And that is always the current 911 model. Cool, isn’t it? Unlike the Porsche Sports Cup, real racing drivers like Tom drive here.

The Porsche Carrera Cup also has a training programme for racing drivers. Porsche promotes young talent. They get help with all the important topics relating to motorsport. And of course they also take part in the races. This is how Porsche trains its young racing drivers. I think that’s great!

I hope you enjoyed this insight into the Porsche racing series. See you soon!

Yours, Tina

Every year, Porsche awards a prize to the best private Porsche driver: The Porsche Cup. The idea came from Ferry Porsche, the founder of Porsche. The winner receives a large prize money and a brand new Porsche.

Hi there, I think playing outside is great! You’re out in the fresh air, you can meet several friends at the same time and get some movement. What’s your favourite thing to do on the street? Great ideas and what you should pay attention to, I tell you today. Curious? Then read on quickly.

It is especially important that you always pay attention when you play on the street. There are special play streets. Maybe you live in one. Cars are only allowed to drive at walking speed on these streets. So it’s not as dangerous there. However, it is best to use footpaths or empty parking spaces. That’s the safest.

And what can you play now? My favourite thing is to paint with chalk. You can get really creative. I draw a picture or a course. Then I jump around in it or ride my bike, scooter or roller skates. Try out different patterns. You can also have a race against your friends.

Do you know the rubber twist? It keeps you fit. Two people stand opposite each other and stretch a long rubber band around their legs. The third player jumps over the rubber band. You say funny rhymes to go with it. Try ‘Tom and Tina like to hop, to the left, to the right, to the side, out’.

Have fun playing outside! Next week Tina will be talking about the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and she looks forward to seeing you!

Yours, Tom

Hi you! As you know, Porsche is active in tennis and golf as well as motorsports. But Porsche continues to expand its sports sponsorship and this now also includes kitesurfing and big wave surfing. Do you know these cool sports? Read on to find out more.

In kitesurfing, the athlete stands on a surfboard. In his hand he holds a so-called kite – a sail. It looks like a big flying dragon. The wind pushes the kite into the air and pulls the athlete along with it. This allows him to surf over the water and jump with the help of the wind and waves.

In surfing, the athlete also stands on a surfboard. However, he does not have a sail. In big wave surfing, you surf on particularly big waves. This is often very dangerous. That’s why only really good surfers do it. Beginners start on small waves and practise that way.

Porsche athlete Sebastian Steudtner has set a world record in big wave surfing. In kitesurfing, Porsche is a sponsor of the ‘Red Bull King of the Air’ competition. This takes place every year in South Africa. Here, the two Porsche athletes Liam Whaley and Rita Arnaus compete for Porsche.

Maybe you’ll see a surfer when you’re by the sea. Keep your eyes open! Next week Tom will tell you a bit about lightweight construction at Porsche. See you then!

Yours, Tina

Sebastian Steudtner’s surfboard is being developed together with Porsche Engineering. The surfboard is even being tested in a wind tunnel – just like a Porsche sports car!

Have you ever been to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen? The eye-catching building stands between the factories where Porsche builds its sports cars. In the museum you can learn exciting things about Porsche. What you can discover there, I tell you in this blog.

There are around 100 great cars in the exhibition. Just one example is ‘Sally Carrera’. She is a real star from the film ‘Cars’. Here you can also celebrate your birthday or visit cool holiday programmes! Tom and I will also be back during the summer vacations to follow the Porsche ideas.

What’s special about the cars in the museum is that almost every one is still working. Sometimes they even take part in races or parades! There is also a workshop right in the museum. You can watch through the glass window as the mechanics repair and recondition these great cars.

You can always discover something new in the Porsche Museum! Because the cars are changed regularly. In addition, there are always exciting special exhibitions. Tom reported on ’50 Years of Porsche Design’ here. And on 20th September 2022, ‘Spirit of Carrera RS’ will be launched.

Next week, we’ll continue with the Porsche inventiveness. Tom will tell you exactly what it means. See you soon!

Yours, Tina

The Porsche Museum is built in a very special way. The architects want it to look as if the building is floating. That’s why the Porsche Museum is nicknamed ‘Flieger’ which means flyer.

Hello, we’ve already looked at what ‘Targa’ and ‘Turbo’ are all about here and here. Also, like you, each Porsche model has its own name. Where they come from and what they mean, we’ll tell you today. Let’s go!

Each name stands for a Porsche model and its characteristics. That’s like your name. It fits you really well, too! The Porsche team finds ideas for the names of the models all over the world: in different languages, in the names of race tracks or animals.

Macan means tiger in Indonesian, and this Porsche is just as powerful, sleek, and fascinating as the animal. The Cayman is particularly fast and agile, like the caiman, a species of reptile. And the Panamera is well suited for long distances. That’s why it’s named after the famous racetrack in Mexico.

It often takes quite a long time before the name is decided on. Porsche employees from different areas, for example designers and engineers, come up with the names. First they collect lots of ideas and suggestions. They are then reviewed and in the end the best one is chosen. What would your Porsche be named?

Now you know what’s behind the names of some Porsche models. You’ll soon find out what the other Porsche models are called and why in our blog. Next week, Tina will be making ice cream in time for summer. Yummy!

Yours, Tom

The name of a new Porsche is created long before the model is ready. The name and the new model are created almost at the same time.

Hey, did you know that a new Porsche is tested for a long time before it goes into series production? That happens in various test rigs. But every Porsche is also tested on a real race track. And that’s what test drivers like me are for. But what does a test driver do?

Many test drivers work in development. They accompany a new Porsche from the very beginning. And they test it on the race track and other test tracks. I drive a new Porsche and tell the researchers what I noticed. Here I often work together with my BFF Tina Turbo.

Test drivers are therefore also called ‘translators’. They work together with the developers and researchers. They tell them what the car does when they drive it and how it feels. Then they think together about what can be done even better. You can tell it’s real teamwork! I like that.

As a test driver, you are part of the development department and have the opportunity to turn your passion into a career. Do you know the Porsche development centre in Weissach? I show all my skills at car races. Driving a Porsche race car really fast is my passion.

Test driver is your dream job? Then maybe we’ll see each other on the race track! See you then.

Yours, Tom

Walter Röhrl used to be a very successful racing driver and for example tested the Porsche Carrera GT in 2010. He drove it again and again and told the developers what could be done better.

I’m glad you’re here! Do you know why Ferry Porsche had the courage to develop his own car back then? There are many reasons. One of them becomes clear in the programme ‘Dreamers. On.’. I’ll tell you today, what it is and what it has to do with Ferry Porsche’s dream.

Ferry Porsche and his team had a dream: The perfect sports car. But they couldn’t find such a car anywhere, so they developed their own. They made their dream come true by working tirelessly on it with a lot of perseverance. They firmly believed in their dream and never gave up.

With the ‘Dreamers. On.’ Programme, Porsche wants to encourage all people to realise their own dreams. It’s not just about cars, but about the dreams of each individual. This can be anything: a Porsche 911, a certain profession, helping people or doing something for the environment.

Do you also have a big dream? Then you can start making it come true right now! I was very interested in motor sports from an early age. That’s why I learned a lot in this field and constantly improved. That’s how I was able to realise my dream and today I work as a Porsche test driver.

Do you also want to realise your dream? Tina and I believe in you!

Next week, Tina will continue with the topic of design and how Porsche customers make their dreams come true. See you then!

Yours, Tom

Welcome! Last week Tom told you why his name is Targa. And today I’m going to introduce you to my name. Do you know where ‘Turbo’ comes from? And what it means at Porsche? You can find out all about that and why my name is Turbo here. Have fun!

At Porsche, Turbo is a type designation for various models. For example, there is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the 911 Turbo or the Taycan Turbo. It is more than that: it is a principle. Turbo stands for the fastest, most exciting, in short the top model. A Porsche Turbo is always a high-flyer.

The term ‘Turbo’ has existed at Porsche for almost 50 years. Since then, it has stood for the use of the best and latest technology. But you can recognise a Turbo not only by its engine. It also looks different! It has a large rear wing, a spoiler and wide wings. Maybe you’ve noticed that before.

And why is my name like that? As a researcher in the development centre, I work on the latest technology. Just like a turbo, I always give my best. I love challenges and research on how to make a Porsche even faster, better and also more sustainable. What do you think?

Carnival is coming up next week. Tom has some cool tips for that, of course. See you then!

Yours, Tina
