Hello back, Porsche fan! Do you know how many different Porsche models there are? Today I’m going to tell you some interesting facts about the different sports cars ‘Made in Germany’. Do you know what makes them special? Have fun reading!
Today, 6 different Porsche models are built in series: the Porsche 911, 718, Cayenne, Panamera, Macan and Taycan. Each model is available in many different versions – for example as a Turbo, Targa or Carrera. In total, there are 95 different variants. Quite a lot!
The Porsche 911 is the world’s most famous sports car. It has been around since 1963 and is now in its 8th generation. The Porsche Taycan is the latest model and the first fully electric Porsche. This means it runs on electricity instead of petrol. The 911, Taycan and 718 models are built in Zuffenhausen near Stuttgart.
In all Porsche 718s, the Boxster (convertible) and the Cayman (with roof), the engine is located in the middle of the car. How unusual! The Cayenne is the first Porsche suitable for families with 5 seats. Its little brother Macan is the best-selling Porsche. And the Panamera is a sporty luxury saloon.
