Having fun trough the day
28th October 2022 l For Race Drivers l 2-3 minutes

Hello racing driver! Today we are going to the race track. Tom and I have already told you about various race tracks and racing series. This time, we’ll take a closer look at two in particular: the Porsche Sports Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup. Have you ever heard of them?

The Porsche Sports Cup has been around for almost 20 years. It’s not racing drivers, but people like you and me who drive their own Porsche sports cars. Instead of driving on the streets, they go to race tracks such as the Nürburgring or Hockenheimring. So that everyone can take part, there are races for beginners and professionals.

With 30 years, the Porsche Carrera Cup is the oldest brand trophy in the world. This means that everyone drives the same car in this racing series. And that is always the current 911 model. Cool, isn’t it? Unlike the Porsche Sports Cup, real racing drivers like Tom drive here.

The Porsche Carrera Cup also has a training programme for racing drivers. Porsche promotes young talent. They get help with all the important topics relating to motorsport. And of course they also take part in the races. This is how Porsche trains its young racing drivers. I think that’s great!

I hope you enjoyed this insight into the Porsche racing series. See you soon!

Yours, Tina

Did you know?
Every year, Porsche awards a prize to the best private Porsche driver: The Porsche Cup. The idea came from Ferry Porsche, the founder of Porsche. The winner receives a large prize money and a brand new Porsche.
