Get a clue

Welcome back to the Porsche 4Kids Blog! Today it’s all about security on the internet again, because there’s sooo much you should know! I’ll explain why you often need a password on the Internet and how you can create a secure password yourself. Pay attention!

On some websites you have to log in with your own user name and password. You can read more about why it makes sense to use a nickname here. It is  super important to have a good password that only you know and that no one can guess.

Because then you know that only you have access and no one can pretend to be you. To prevent your password from being easily guessed, never use your name or date of birth! It’s best to keep your password a secret: don’t tell anyone and change it often.

I’m going to tell you my trick for coming up with a secure password yourself: Think of a sentence that you can remember easily. Then use the first letters and add a number and a special character (not a letter from the alphabet) and use lower and upper case letters. It could look like this, for example:

Sentence: ‘My favourite Porsche is the Taycan’.
Special character: *
Number: 911 (for example your favourite number)
This results in the password: MfPitT*911

Why don’t you try this out for your next password? I hope this trick helps you to create and remember your password in the future! See you soon!

Yours, Tom
