Hi there! Today we’re diving deeper into the topic of design, or more precisely, interior design. hat’s what we call the design of the inside of a car. Do you have any idea what makes a Porsche unique, also from the inside? And what exactly does an interior designer at Porsche work on?

The design of a Porsche sports car is immediately recognisable from the outside all over the world. But it should be the same on the inside. The instruments behind the steering wheel are also recognizable. They always have the same shape. Do you know which one? They are round! And the ignition lock is always to the left of the steering wheel.

Typical for Porsche is the simple and modern design, also in the interior. Interior designers decide not only on the shapes, but also on the colours and materials of the car seats, the door trims, the switches, the steering wheel … For each model, they design several variants to choose from.

In the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, you can make your Porsche even more unique. For example, there are even more leather colours and types to choose from. And you can even put together your own favourite colours. This makes the Porsche unmistakable and unique!

Interior design is pretty exciting, isn’t it? Maybe that would be a career for you? Next week, Tom will be talking about the Porsche European Open. See you then!

Yours, Tina

Did you already know?
The instruments in a Porsche are becoming more and more digital. But the chronograph, a kind of clock, in the middle on the dashboard is still analogue, even in the latest model, the Taycan. It still has pointers.
