Last week, Tom told you more about the history of famous racing drivers at Porsche. This week, I’ll continue and tell you about turbo-strong athletes from yesterday, today and tomorrow. Because they are also part of 75 Years of Porsche and are part of the motto ‘Driven by Dreams’.

In 1960, a very famous picture is taken for Porsche: The ‘356 Porsche Jump’. In the picture you can see the famous Porsche 356, over which the skier Egon Zimmermann is jumping. A special picture that still stands for the Porsche brand and its courage and sporting spirit.

Today, Porsche supports tennis, for example. I have already written something about this here. A very famous tennis player is Angelique Kerber. She fulfilled her childhood dream by winning Wimbledon. Today, as a Porsche brand ambassador, she helps others to achieve their dreams.

In addition to golf and tennis, Porsche plans to further expand its support in sport in the future. This also includes kite surfing. You can read more about that here. Rita Arnaus is supported by Porsche and wants to constantly expand her limits and knowledge. I think that’s really good!

As you can see, Porsche has been supporting other sports besides motorsports for a long time. Cool, isn’t it?

Yours, Tina

Did you already know?
The famous picture of the ‘356 Porsche jump’ is recreated in 2021. Instead of Egon Zimmermann, Aksel Lund Svindal, one of the most successful ski racers of our time, jumps. And there is no longer a Porsche 356 on the road, but a Porsche Taycan Turbo. This new edition of the image connects yesterday, today and tomorrow.
